Residential construction in the United States is showing encouraging signs of recovery in 2013. In March, homebuilders began construction on more than one million homes across the country. The last time this happened was in June, 2008. According to the Commerce Department, the number of homes started increased by seven percent between February and March. Every state in the country has one or more large cities that have been experiencing continuous housing growth for several months.
